I currently teach Geometry at Desert Ridge High School. I implement a wide variety of technologies in order to best serve my students and make the class more engaging. We will be covering material from the Carnegie Learning text as well as supplemental materials with an emphasis on collaborative learning in order to ensure students are adequately prepared for future math courses.
I am licensed secondary teacher highly qualified in mathematics, biology, and chemistry. I have a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I completed my teaching internship courses at Pima Community College while interning as the primary Biology/Chemistry teacher at Project MORE HS in Tucson, AZ. I have a great deal of training in math interventions, blended learning techniques, implementation of Inquiry Driven Instruction, trauma informed teaching, as well as several other things. I strive to be the best teacher I can while working with my colleagues in order to forge a more efficient, engaging, and collaborative approach to teaching.
